IndianOil, the only petroleum company as `The Most Trusted Brand' in ET's Brand Equity's annual survey
IndianOil is the only petroleum company amongst 100 other industrial giants, which has emerged as `The Most Trusted Brand' in ET's Brand Equity's annual survey placed at 93rd place for the year 2007. It has improved on its 2006 ranking of 97th position. Even among the top 10 service brands, IndianOil has climbed one step to the 7th position, this year.
The Brand Equity survey is conducted annually by the premier media publication Economic Times. `The Most Trusted Brand' survey aims to identify the brands that bond the best with consumers. They are not just the brands that are most familiar; but they are the brands that consumers believe, provide quality and reassurance. Conducted by research agency AC Nielson ORG-MARG, the survey is the largest of its kind in India, with a sample of over 8000 distributed across socio-economic class, age, income and geography.
The brands have been evaluated on relatedness, perceived popularity, quality connotation, distinction/uniqueness of what it stands for, value for money that it offers and repurchase intent.
