Haldia Refinery was recently conferred the Paryavaran Parirakshak Puraskar Award 2012 by Ramky Foundation, Hyderabad. The award was given to Haldia Refinery for its immense contribution towards environmental protection.

In the awards ceremony held at Kolkata recently, Mr. M. K. Narayanan, Honorable Governor of West Bengal, presented the award to Mr. Amalendu Kumar, GM (Health, Safety and Environment), Haldia Refinery in the presence of Prof. Binay K. Dutta, Chairman, West Bengal Pollution Control Board, representatives from various industries and the Trustees of Ramky Foundation.

Mr. Ranjit Paul, Senior Process Engineer, Haldia Refinery, accompanied Mr.Kumar to receive the award. Each awardee was presented with a shield and a certificate of merit.
