N. Senthil KumarDirector (Pipelines)

Shri N. Senthil Kumar, is an Electronics and Communication Engineer with over three decades of versatile experience in the operations & maintenance of IndianOil’s countrywide network of oil & gas pipelines. Before joining the IndianOil Board as Director (Pipelines), he was heading the Operations function at Pipelines Division Head Office.

Shri Senthil has a vast and rich experience and has played a pivotal role in using technology to boost security systems in pipelines and conceptualization of Central Pipeline Information Management Systems (CPIMS) with backbone alternate communication system.

Shri Senthil also played a vital role in pilot testing of drag reducing agents (innovated by IndianOil R&D) in LPG pipelines for the first time.

Shri Senthil is also on the Board of two Joint Venture Companies viz. IHB Ltd. (a JV of IndianOil, HPCL & BPCL) and Indradhanush Gas Grid Ltd., (a JV of IndianOil, ONGC, GAIL, OIL & NRL). IHB Ltd. is implementing the world’s longest LPG pipeline project from Kandla (Gujarat) to Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh). Indradhanush Gas Grid Ltd. is implementing Natural Gas Pipeline projects connecting the states in North East India.

Sujoy Choudhury Director (Planning & Business Development)

Shri Sujoy Choudhury is a Mechanical Engineer and an MBA (Finance) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He possesses more than three decades of rich experience across various functions of Oil Industry like Engineering, Retail Sales and Petrochemicals (Marketing).

Before his elevation as Director (P&BD), Shri Sujoy Choudhury was heading IndianOil’s Punjab State office wherein he was in-charge of all petroleum activities in the States of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, and in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Chandigarh. He has been instrumental in strengthening the Oil infrastructure of the State / UT’s, introduction of Winter Grade Diesel for high altitude areas, development of specialized lubricants for FMCG industry, introduction of geotextiles and steel concrete composite structures for construction in hilly terrains, etc.

He is also a Non-Executive Chairman on the Board of Lanka IOC PLC (subsidiary of IndianOil in Srilanka), IndianOil Total Pvt. Ltd., IOT Biogas Pvt. Ltd. and CII Northern Regional Committee on Energy. He is also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of IndOil Montney Ltd. (a subsidiary of IndianOil’s Wholly owned subsidiary, Indoil Global BV, Netherlands.).

G K Satish Director (Planning & Business Development)

Mr. Govind Kottieth Satish is the Director (Planning & Business Development) of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IndianOil), India’s flagship National Oil Company and one of the top Indian Corporates in the prestigious Fortune ‘Global 500’ listing of world’s largest companies.

As the Director (Planning & Business Development), Mr. Satish is in charge of IndianOil’s Petrochemicals, Natural Gas, Exploration & Production, Alternate Energy & Sustainable Development, International Business and Explosives verticals, besides Corporate Planning.

A Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Surat, and a Post-Graduate in Management from the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Mr. Satish has over 38 years’ experience in IndianOil in the areas of Marketing, Operations, Logistics, International Trade, Natural Gas, Petrochemicals, Exploration & Production, Alternate Energy and Human Resources.

Mr. Satish is non-executive Chairman of Green Gas Ltd., which is engaged in City Gas Distribution (CGD) business in 4 Geographical Areas (GAs); IndianOil-Adani Gas Pvt. Ltd., which is engaged in CGD business in 19 GAs; IndianOil Total Pvt. Ltd., which is engaged in Bitumen Derivative business; IOT Biogas Pvt. Ltd., which is engaged in biofuel business; IHB Pvt. Ltd. which is engaged in implementing the prestigious Kandla-Gorakhpur LPG pipeline Project. Besides, he is a Director on the Board of IndOil Montney Ltd., Canada, which is handling IndianOil’s upstream business in Canada.

Mr. Satish had earlier been the non-executive Chairman of IndianOil LNG Pvt. Ltd., which is operating an LNG Import Terminal near Chennai, besides having being IndianOil’s nominee Director on the Boards of Petronet LNG Ltd., which operates the LNG Import Terminals at Kochi & Dahej; and GSPL India Gasnet Ltd. & GSPL India Transco Ltd., which are implementing cross-country natural gas pipelines in India.

Dr. SSV Ramakumar Director (Research & Development)

Dr. S. S. V. Ramakumar is a Ph.D in Chemistry from IIT Roorkee (erstwhile University of Roorkee). He has more than three decades of experience in research and development and downstream hydrocarbon sector notably in the areas of Refinery process research streams, Automotive Lubricants, Nano-technology Research, Technology promotion & forecasting, Tribology etc. He has authored the IndianOil R&D journey book ‘Inventing the Future’ and has over 95 research publications in national and international journals.

Shri Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra Director (Human Resources)

Shri Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra is a Mechanical Engineer from BITS, Pilani and a Post-Graduate in Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Shri Mohapatra has over three decades of experience in the petroleum industry and has handled various assignments in the Marketing Division of the Company including Terminal Operations, Supply Chain Management & Logistics. Shri Mohapatra was also one of the chief architects of the auto-fuel quality (BS-III/BS-IV) upgradation programmes of Oil Companies in India.

Shri Mohapatra has presented several papers in national and international forums and has also published articles in international journals.

Gurmeet Singh Director (Marketing)

Shri Gurmeet Singh is a Mechanical Engineer from Punjab University. Shri Singh has over 3 decades of wide and rich experience in petroleum business in various geographies including head of Engineering & Projects and head of Rajasthan State Office. Prior to assuming charge as Director (Marketing), he was Executive Director(LPG), Marketing Division. As Head of Business Vertical of LPG, Shri Singh spearheaded all activities related to LPG business in entire India. He was instrumental in taking forward several LPG business initiatives with key ones like the PMUY which has been highly acclaimed nationally and internationally for its mammoth reach and impact. Shri Singh has widely travelled and has been part of several national and international energy related projects and events such as CERAweek, World LPG Conference, etc. Shri Singh is also the Non-Executive Chairman of IOC Middle East FZE as well as IndianOil (Mauritius) Limited, wholly owned subsidiaries of IndianOil.

Anuj Jain Director (Finance)

Shri Anuj Jain, aged 52 years, is a Commerce Graduate and a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has also completed a Masters in Business Finance from the ICAI.

Shri Anuj Jain had joined IndianOil in 1996 and has over 27 years of rich and varied experience in the field of Finance, Taxation and Commercial aspects of the Oil & Gas industry. He has handled various assignments like Corporate Finance, Treasury & Fund Management, Supply Chain Optimization, Pricing, Shipping, Direct and Indirect Taxation, SAP and ERP system etc. Prior to his elevation as Director (Finance), Shri Anuj Jain was the Chief General Manager (Finance) at Refineries Headquarters.

He was also posted as Senior Vice President (Finance) in Lanka IOC PLC., a listed Subsidiary of IndianOil in Sri Lanka where he headed the Finance function. He was also a Board member and Audit Committee member of Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL), a strategic petroleum company in Sri Lanka.

Shri Anuj Jain is actively involved in identification and formulation of various business strategies for energy transition of the Company in the changing landscape of India’s energy sector.

Alok Sharma Director (Research and Development)

Shri Alok Sharma is a post graduate engineer in Chemical Engineering from IIT-Delhi and graduate from Gujarat University. Mr. Sharma has more than 3 decades of rich experience in the downstream energy sector and has made significant contributions to the Indian refining sector in Process, Projects, and Production. Prior to his elevation as Director (Research & Development), Shri Sharma was Executive Director at Centre for High Technology under the MoP&NG, where he played a pivotal role in coordinating refining, petrochemical, and alternative energy activities for pan Indian O&G industry.

During his career in IndianOil, his various achievements inter alia include pivotal role in establishing India’s First Hydrocracker Unit in Gujarat Refinery as well as Hydroprocessing lab and Resid Block at R&D Centre. With a visionary approach to catalyze IndianOil’s ambitions in Alternative Energy, he spearheaded the Research and Development endeavors in hydrogen, gasification, solar, CO2 capture, and energy storage technologies. His noteworthy achievements include successful development of compact reforming HCNG solutions, co-processing of non-edible oils in refinery, nation’s first HCNG trials in Delhi, fuel cell and green hydrogen initiatives besides making critical contributions in carbon capture and ethanol technologies.

Shri Sharma represents the O&G sector on various committees of NITI Aayog, MNRE, DST and Bureau of Energy Efficiency. He is also a member of International Association of Hydrogen Energy (IAHE) and founder member of Hydrogen Association of India (HAI).

Ms. Rashmi Govil Director (Human Resources)

Ms. Rashmi Govil, aged 53 years is a Science Graduate and an MBA in Personnel Management from Bundelkhand University. She has three decades of rich and comprehensive experience in Human Resource Management viz. industrial relations, compensation management, performance management, staffing, recruitment, policy formulation, succession planning, systems management, audit etc. gained while working at IndianOil’s Refinery Units, Refinery Headquarters and Corporate Office which has helped her in developing a deep understanding of employee relations. She has also led various strategic HR initiatives like revisiting HR policies and practices to keep them progressive and relevant, with special focus on diversity, inclusion and well-being.

Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari Government Nominee Director

Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari is an IAS officer of 2001 Batch of MP Cadre. He has worked in various departments in the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh which include Agriculture Cooperation & Farmer Welfare and Finance.

Dr. Kothari is also a Government Nominee Director on the board of GAIL (India) Limited and Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited.

Sunil KumarGovernment Nominee Director

Shri Sunil Kumar is an IRAS officer of 1995 batch. He is presently posted as Joint Secretary (E&BR) in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG).

Shri Sunil Kumar is a Bachelor of Technology (Petroleum Energy) from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad. Shri Kumar has also done Financial Management from NIFM, Faridabad, Masters in Business Administration from BI, School of Management, Oslo, Norway, Executive European MBA from ESCP-EAP, Paris, France, Masters Diploma in Public Administration from IIPA, New Delhi, and Logistic Simulation and Planning from Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China.

As Joint Secretary (E&BR), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri Kumar is looking after matters related to Upstream (Exploration & Production), Petrochemicals, Import / Export of crude oil and petroleum products, Ethanol Blending Program and other Biofuels, Green Hydrogen & CCUS, Renewable Energy and Conservation, etc. Before joining MoP&NG, he worked in various capacity with the Indian Railways.

lndrani Kaushal Government Nominee Director

Ms. Indrani Kaushal is an IES Officer (1995). Presently, she is Economic Adviser, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India (MoP&NG). Ms.Kaushal holds Masters in Governance & Development from U.K., Global Think Tank – The Institute of Development Studies and Masters from Delhi School of Economics. Ms. lndrani Kaushal is also a Government Nominee Director on the Board of Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited.

Rajendra ArlekarIndependent Director

Mr. Rajendra Arlekar, aged 65 years is a Graduate in Commerce from MES College, Vasco Da Gama. Shri Arlekar has a very successful public life and has been actively engaged in social, educational and cultural activities throughout the State of Goa. He was a Cabinet Minister in the Govt. of Goa and a former Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly. He was also the Chairman of Goa Industrial Development Corporation.

Shri Dilip Gogoi LalungIndependent Director

Shri Dilip Gogoi Lalung is a graduate in Arts. He has over 3 decades of experience in the field of social work, wherein he is actively involved with NGOs like Actionaid India, Save the Children, Tata Trust, etc. in programs like community development, education, skill development, health, etc.
