PHBPL organises technical seminar on Operation and Maintenance of Oil Installations at Coastal Locations

A two-day technical seminar on 'Operation and Maintenance of Oil Installations at Coastal Locations - Challenges and Emerging Scenario' was organised at PHBPL, Paradip recently. Over 60 delegates from different oil companies like ONGC, HPCL, BPCL, ESSAR, HPCL-Mittal Pipelines attended the seminar. The seminar covered various aspects of challenges faced by petroleum industry with respect to operations and maintenance of oil installations in coastal locations including SPM. The seminar focused on internal corrosion in offshore pipeline, new generation shipping ropes for improved safety & ease of operations, emergent new standards & practices for tank farm design with respect to new OISD 244 and operation and maintenance challenges etc.

Mr. J. P. Ojha, ED, NRPL, Panipat inaugurated the seminar in presence of Dr. B. D. Yadav, ED,WRPL, Gauridad, Mr. H. P. Sahi, ED, ERPL, Kolkata, and Mr. N. B Hegde, GM, SRPL, Chennai. Mr. V. C. Sati, GM, PHBPL, Paradip extended a hearty welcome to all participants. The participants shared their experiences and problems based on the seminar theme and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity given.
