PSO holds PreMac Meeting of Northern Region

PreMac meeting of Northern Region was held at PSO, Chandigarh recently. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Rajiv Khanna, ED (IA), CO. The meeting was attended by Mr. V. Kasturi, ED (F), HO, Mr. S .Mishra, ED, DSO, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, ED, RSO, Mr. P. K. Das, ED, PSO, Mr. Amit Basu, GM I/C (RS & HR), NRO, Mr. Sajjan Kumar, GM, UPSO II, Mr. K. K. Gupta, GM (IA), CO, Mr. Khinvasara, GM (F),NRO and all functional Audit Coordinators of NR State Offices. Functional HODs from HO also participated on Video Conferencing for making the session successful.
In welcome address, Mr. P. K. Das stressed upon the need of such meeting at regular interval for resolving pending audit points. Mr. Kasturi appreciated the efforts made by Mr. Khanna for holding the Pre Mac meeting for logical settlement of audit points.
Mr. Khanna emphasised on the importance of Internal Audit in the organisation and requested all State Heads to intervene personally for complying audit observations on priority to avoid generation of QRIP/Pre Mac points. He further informed the group that audit team is functioning to review and examine the working in our locations/administrative offices/units to see that systems are being followed in line with corporations policy/norms/guidelines to protect overall business interests of our organization.
During the meeting, all paras upto 85th Pre Mac were discussed and reviewed in detail. Based on ATR & relevant documents, consensus was made on many points to settle. Time bound action plan for compliances on remaining paras were agreed by concerned functional State offices.
