IndianOil sweeps awards at PetroFed 2014 awards ceremony

with Leading Oil and Gas corporate of the Year award in the

Natural Gas and functional directors of IndianOil.


The annual PetroFed Oil and Gas Industry awards for 2013-14 for excellence in performance in various categories were presented to corporates by Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan Hon’ble MoS (I/c) Petroleum & Natural Gas, in Delhi today. The Hon’ble minister congratulated the corporates as well as individuals who received the awards. He commended the PetroFed Society for instituting the awards to felicitate talent and excellence in the petroleum sector in India. During his address, he emphasised on the need to enhance domestic production of oil and gas to reduce import dependence.

Mr. K.D. Tripathi, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas lauded the PetroFed initiative and while congratulating the award winners urged the industry members to diligently work towards enhancing energy security of the country by augmenting the production of oil and gas and improving energy efficiency.

Welcoming the invitees, Mr. B. Ashok Chairman, IndianOil and Chairman, PetroFed stressed on keeping the spirit of healthy competition alive through such awards. He underscored the importance of fulfilling the energy requirements of the country by endeavouring to augment the supply petroleum products. He added that sustainable energy solutions must be arrived at in order to fuel the needs of a growing economy.

Mr. Sanjiv Singh, Director (Refineries), Mr. D. Sen, Director (P&BD), Mr. A.K. Sharma, Director (Finance), Mr. Verghese Cherian, Director (HR), and Mr. Anish Aggarwal, Director Pipelines also graced the occasion.

IndianOil was adjudged 'Leading Oil and Gas Corporate of the Year' and bagged ‘The Company of the Year’ awards in the Oil & Gas Marketing and Human Resources Management category.

A special commendation in the category of Game Changer, Oil & Gas Company of the Year award was also received by the Corporation. Woman Executive of the Year award was presented to Ms. Mamoni Basumatary, Senior Manager (Technical Services), Guwahati Refinery, IndianOil. All awardees were presented with a trophy and a citation.

The Petroleum Federation of India is an apex hydrocarbon industry association to promote member interests in line with Public and National policies through a self-regulatory environment with consumer interest in sight. Registered as a society in 2002, it instituted its annual awards for the oil and gas industry in India in 2007.
