SAKSHAM 2024-25

IndianOil marked the commencement of ‘SAKSHAM’ 2024-25, the annual flagship event of the oil industry to promote energy conservation & sustainability on February 14, 2025. The fortnight program concluded on February 28, 2025, with the theme ‘Cleaner Environment through Green and Clean Energy’ under the aegis of MoP&NG.

Uttar Pradesh State Office-2 (UPSO-2) recently organised the valedictory function for SAKSHAM 2024-25 at Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP), Dehradun. The function was graced by Mr Amit Kumar Sinha (IPS), Additional Director General of Police, Uttarakhand & Special Principal Secretary (Sports), Govt of Uttarakhand, as the Chief Guest, and Mr Hemant Rathore, ED & SH, UPSO-2, as the Guest of Honour, along with representatives from BPCL, HPCL, and IndianOil. Mr Rathore highlighted the commitment of OMCs to driving awareness campaigns, implementing energy-efficient measures, and working towards a cleaner, greener future. The Chief Guest stressed that small steps lead to bigger impacts and that even simple actions in daily life can contribute significantly to energy conservation. Awareness initiatives under ERPL, Banka

Under ERPL, Banka jurisdiction, an awareness drive was carried out at Government Middle School, Barahat, Distt - Banka (Near SV-18), where a drawing competition on the theme ‘Cleaner Environment through Green and Clean Energy’ was organised for students. A talk on fuel conservation and the use of alternate energy sources was delivered, followed by 10 sapling plantations on the school premises. Another awareness drive was conducted at Middle School, Village Auria, Distt - Banka, where a drawing competition was organised, along with 10 sapling plantations. Additionally, a village awareness programme and plantation drive were organised in Distt - Dumka, Jharkhand, covering 50 villages under the pipeline RoU with 150 saplings planted.
