OCCM (Onshore Crude Co-ordination Meeting) was organised at Bongaigaon Refinery (BGR) for the first time on December 9, 2024. Senior officials from ONGC, NRL, Oil India, IndianOil-RHQ, Digboi Refinery, Guwahati Refinery and BGR attended the meeting. In the inaugural meeting, the distinguished guests from the industry partners was welcomed by Mr Raju Mashahary, GM (TS & HSE), BGR. In his address, Mr Nayan Kumar Barua, ED & RH, BGR, mentioned that OCCM provides a platform to bring buyers and sellers together in which crude oil distribution & pumping plans are made for indigenous production in the northeast and Gujarat.

Group Commandant, CISF, Group HQRS, Ahmedabad, visits WRPL, Viramgam

Mr Kapil Verman, Group Commandant, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Group HQRS, Ahmedabad, recently visited Western Region Pipelines (WRPL), Viramgam. Mr Manoj Gupta, General Manager and Mr Aashish Gokhale, DGM (Operations), WRPL, Viramgam, warmly welcomed the Group Commandant. During the visit, Mr Verman visited tank farm, pump station, fire station/control room and CISF barrack of WRPL, Viramgam. He reviewed the safety and security of the installation and appreciated the efforts of Team Viramgam for maintaining the station.

Army officers visit PRPC under training programme ‘APTAM-43’

Panipat Refinery & Petrochemicals Complex (PRPC) recently organised a one-day training programme for Army officers under the ‘Advanced Petroleum Technology and Management Training Programme’ (APTAM-43. Mr M L Dahriya, ED & RH, PRPC, greeted the Army officials and elaborated on the core value of IndianOil, i.e. Nation-First. He added that IndianOil also serves the Indian Army by supplying various quality products at every requisite destination. On this occasion, Mr Tarun Kumar Bisai, CGM (HR), was also present. The visit commenced with a welcome by Mr Pankaj Tripathi, CM (MS, L&D) at the Learning Centre thereon with a detailed presentation to have an in-depth understanding of the processing of Hydrocarbons & Petrochemicals in various units of PRPC as well as on the safety and security of the complex. Thereafter, 16 Army officers, along with Mr Veeneet Jain, AM (Inst Bus), Delhi DO, visited the QC Laboratory, Control Rooms of Panipat Refinery & Naphtha Cracker to overview the process. The officers took a keen interest in knowing about the complexities involved in the production units and producing quality products by PRPC.

Army officers visit Lube Oil Blending Plant, Asaoti

In a significant step towards enhancing the technical expertise of the armed forces, a group of senior Army officers recently visited Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP), Asaoti, under Advanced Petroleum Technology and Management Training Programme (APTAM). The tour of the Plant began with an in-depth demonstration of the barrel filling process. The officers were briefed on the importance of maintaining quality control, especially when dealing with products that directly impact the performance of military equipment. The officers were also informed about the logistics involved in bulk dispatching, as it mirrors the customer’s need for efficient and swift delivery systems for fuel and lubricants to various forward operating bases. One of the key highlights of the visit was the Plant’s commitment to supply and development. The officers were briefed on how the Plant works closely with research and development teams to innovate and enhance product formulations. During the visit, the officers were also shown various sustainability measures being implemented at the Plant. This training initiative aims to equip military personnel with cutting-edge knowledge in petroleum technologies, focusing on the blending and distribution of lubricants and oils crucial to the operational efficiency of the armed forces.
