IiPM announces flagship Senior Management Programme–2007

IiPM has announced its flagship Senior Management Programme (SMP) – 2007 scheduled to commence from Aug 02, 2007 to September 11, 2007. Indian Institute of Management-Kolkata, led by Prof. Ashok Banerjee, will provide the faculty support for the programme. The programme is targeted at Dy. General Managers (DGMs) of IndianOil and its group companies. Designed and developed to equip DGMs with leadership qualities, this programme enables them to shoulder key leadership positions in the organisation and provides an opportunity to acquire cutting edge knowledge on various management functions for application in respective work areas. The pedagogy of the programme includes outbound experiential learning, classroom learning based on case studies and overseas learning programme in European countries. The classroom learning shall cover modules on Strategic Management, Economics, Finance Management, HRM and Marketing Management. An Oil Management Game shall be held, towards the end of the classroom session wherein participants would apply all the learnings of the programme. As a part of the programme, nominated participants shall be assigned group project work on Strategic Business issues of IndianOil. At the end of the programme participants will present the findings to the Executive Committee of the Board. The nominations of the participants for the programme have been sought from Divisions as per the specified criteria for the programme.
