Mr. Sarthak Behuria, interacts with IOCians at IiPM

A vibrant conglomeration of professionals comprising of fresh Chartered Accountants, middle management group pursuing ongoing Cutting Edge Programme and Senior Management Group undergoing programme on Strategic Thinking for Building Competitive Advantage recently interacted with Mr. Sarthak Behuria (Chairman), IiPM. Mr. Behuria said, ”IndianOil has jumped an impressive 18 places to occupy the 135th position in the recently released Fortune ‘Global 500’ listing of the world’s largest companies. We became the first Indian Corporate to breach the Rs. Two lakh crore turnover mark with profits of Rs. 7,499 crores IOCians toiled hard to set new performance benchmarks in terms of highest ever refineries and pipelines throughput and record product sales and this significant improvement in our world ranking reflects the planning, action and sweat throughout the company during the year, and also shows that we are on the right track and our strategies are bearing fruit.” He further said, “Growth of IndianOil mirror the growth of India. A booming economy, bullish stock markets, rising purchasing power, growing aspirations, surging demand for products – all this is the hall mark of a new and resurgent India. He very proudly said that India is, in fact, no longer a ‘developing’ country; it is indeed a ‘transforming’ country.” Speaking on the performance of IndianOil, on the international front, he said, “The Corporation is consolidating its position in several new territories such as Sri Lanka, Mauritius and the UAE and advised all the participants that the key to success of our corporate strategies lies in our soft core, i.e. YOU. In order to achieve our cherished vision, we all need to fully believe in our core values, take pride in our work and be motivated to go the “extra mile”.” Mr. Anand Kumar (ED), IiPM made the gathering aware about leadership qualities of Mr. Sarthak Behuria, as Chairman of IndianOil and shared about various steps which Mr. Behuria has initiated to take IndianOil to further heights.Under his guidance, IiPM has launched unique programme on Project Management in association with Universitas Global 21, a Singapore based university, where the participants can learn the Global project management practices from their work location without loss of daily activity. He thanked Mr. Behuria for all his advice guidance, support and encouragement to IiPM. A new sports facility that came up at IiPM campus was also inaugurated on the occasion.
