PETROTECH 2012 - CURTAIN RAISER

PETROTECH 2012, the 10th International Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition is being organised by Indian Oil Corporation Limited under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, during October 14-17, 2012, New Delhi, India. The theme of the conference is 'Hydrocarbons and Beyond: Changing Landscape.'

At the curtain raiser organised in New Delhi today, to apprise about the details of the event, Mr G.C. Chaturvedi, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas speaking about the four-day conference said, "PETROTECH is the oil industry's biggest global brand. For several decades, it has been showcasing technologies, sharing solutions and building new paradigms for lasting answers that will sustain our future. The conference will be great platform to promote synergy in business and technology."

Mr. R.S. Butola, Chairman, IndianOil & Chairman, Steering Committee, PETROTECH 2012 said, "While showcasing the oil and gas opportunity in India, the conference will also focus on emerging global trends. A special emphasis will be given on technologies in the area of oil and gas exploration and production", he added.

The tenth edition of the PETROTECH series of international oil & gas conference will see various interesting sessions such as Special Ministerial sessions, plenary sessions, ministerial discussions, trade exhibition, buyers-sellers meet, Industry-Academia Meet, CEO Conclave, Parallel Track, Photo Contest and many others. The Petrotech Exhibition at sprawling Pragati Maidan is the largest exhibition of its kind with a reputation for showcasing contemporary technologies and displays.

PETROTECH 2012 promises to bring to the table insights which have relevance to both sectoral players and the general public. PETROTECH 2012 has attracted over 3000 delegates, including 2700 Indian and 350 overseas delegates from over 50 countries. More than 350 exhibitors will take part in the prestigious PETROTECH 2012 exhibition in nine country pavilions and more than 30 countries displaying their profile, opportunities and competencies.
