IndianOil bags Petrotech Special Technical Award – 2012, for Project Management

Petrotech Special Technical Award – 2012, for Project Management has been conferred on the Project Team of IndianOil Refineries Division for completing the Motor Spirit Quality Up-gradation Project at Barauni, Guwahati and Digboi Refineries in a record time of 32 months against the earlier bench-mark of 38 to 44 months. The Award was received by Shri RajKumar Ghosh, Director [Refineries] from Shri R P N Singh, Union State Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas on 17th Oct,2012 in Delhi . Shri RajKumar Ghosh was accompanied by Shri S K Ghosh, Executive Director[ Projects], Shri S K Singhal, General Manager[Projects] ,Shri S K Patra, Dy. General Manager[ Projects], Guwahati Refinery, Shri K Bora , General Manager, Digboi Refinery and Shri R K Chug, General Manager, Barauni Refinery to receive the coveted award. Secretary Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri G C Chaturvedi and Chairman, IndianOil Shri R S Butola also shared the dais. IndianOil’s efforts for Project excellence were appreciated for successfully implementing the “Auto Fuel Quality Upgradation Projectsat North Eastern/ Eastern Refineries of IndianOil” in spite of all odds like remoteness of the project site, logistics and technological constraints etc. The Auto Fuel Quality improvement Projects were undertaken by IndianOil on war footing In order to meet the road map of meeting Auto Fuel Policy from the year 2010.

IndianOil is modernizing its process units, power & utility generating units as well as storage and dispatch facilities on a continuous basis to improve operational efficiency and also to meet better product quality from time to time. With a steady aim of maintaining its position as a market leader, IndianOil is currently investing Rs. 47,000 crore in a host of projects for augmentation of refining and pipelines capacities, expansion of marketing infrastructure and product quality up- gradation.
