P.K. Chakraborti, IndianOil's new Director (Pipelines)

Mr. P.K. Chakraborti, 58, has taken over as Director (Pipelines) of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IndianOil) today. Prior to his elevation to the Board level, he was Executive Director in the Corporate Office of IndianOil looking after business development activities of Refineries and Pipelines. Mr. Chakraborti has worked in IndianOil's Pipelines Division for 27 years and has to his credit vast experience in planning, design and construction of major pipeline projects of IndianOil. Since 2003, he has been Executive Director (Business Development) at the Corporate Office looking after IndianOil's ventures in expanding its core business in refineries and pipelines beyond the geographical boundaries of the country. He is currently involved in IndianOil's efforts in pursuing a few specific ventures pertaining to refineries and pipelines in Turkey, Libya and Nigeria. Mr. Chakraborti will be in charge of IndianOil's 9,300-km network of crude oil and petroleum product pipelines and allied facilities. The Corporation is currently implementing additional pipeline projects at worth over Rs. 2,200 crore, which, amongst others, includes the Paradip-Haldia crude oil pipeline, Koyali-Ratlam product pipeline, augmentation of the Mundra-Panipat crude oil pipeline, an RLNG pipeline from Dadri to Panipat, and an LPG pipeline from Panipat to Jalandhar.
