High-Level visit to Business Continuity Centre, Jaipur Terminal

Mr. S.V.Narasimhan along with Mr. V.C. Agrawal, Director (Human Resources) and Mr. G.C.Daga , Director (Marketing) accompanied by Divisional HR heads and other senior IOCians from Corporate office, Marketing and Pipelines division recently visited the Business Continuity Centre at the Jaipur Terminal to unveil the ISO/IEC 20000 Certificate, BCC Manual and launch the Reporting Server. On arrival, they were received with a traditional Rajasthani welcome by Mr. S.S. Soni (ED, Optimisation), Mr. S. Ramasamy (GM, IS), Mr. D.S.L. Prasad (GM, RSO), Mr. A.K. Bandyopadhyay (GM,PREXPL), and other IOCians at Jaipur terminal. The Business Continuity Centre, designed as a hot site, is well-equipped with a state-of-the-art Data Centre and V-Sat communication infrastructure that can take over as the Main Production Centre in case of a disaster at IIPM, Gurgaon. Business Continuity Centre Jaipur is the first and only ISO/IEC 20000 certified Data Centre among Indian PSUs. Mr. R.Sayal (COM, RSO), welcomed the guests at the conference room of Jaipur terminal and highlighted the pioneering activities of Jaipur terminal in the field of quality, safety and environment. Mr. S. Ramasamy made a presentation on the importance and role of Business Continuity Centre. Mr. V.C Agrawal, Director (HR), on his visit to Data Centre was impressed by the way the centre has been created and maintained and said, "I am visiting the data centre for the first time.It is being maintained in a highly professional manner. My compliments to all concerned personnel". While unveiling the BCC Manual, Mr. Agrawal emphasized the need for service with smile, transparency, systematic approach and innovations in every walk of life. Mr. M.S. Bohra (Adl. Director,STQC), presented the ISO/IEC 20000 certificate to Mr Narasimhan.On this occasion Mr. Narasimhan also presented the ISO/IEC 20000 Auditor certificate to Mr. D.C. Verma (DM, IS), Business Continuity Centre and congratulated him for entering the distinguished ITSM Auditor's Club. The reporting server was launched by Mr. Daga, thus making Business Continuity Centre an active site. The new initiative would further promote the optimum utilization of available resources. Mr. G.C.Daga, Director (Marketing) expressed, "I am very pleased to visit the Business Continuity Centre. Its' a nice job done by the internal team with highly sophisticated system that is servicing the core functions of the corporation. My heartiest compliments for the coveted ISO 20000 Accreditation". All the visiting Directors planted saplings at lush green ground of Jaipur Terminal before their departure. Mr. Gulshan Kumar (CM, IS), Business Continuity Centre thanked the dignitaries for their presence and energetic guidance.
