Greetings to the IndianOil family on the 60th anniversary of India's Independence

It's an occasion to rejoice in our freedom and to pay collective homage to all the people who sacrificed their lives to the cause of freedom. Every year, August 15, gives us the reason to celebrate all this, and do much more - it is a time to contemplate what we have and how we achieved it and where do we go from here? On August 15, 60 years ago, India made a midnight tryst with destiny after three centuries of British colonial rule and joined the world of nations free to choose their future, free to choose their fortune. It's been a long journey. But in the life and times of nations, this is nothing but a very short trip. There is a lot that lies in store for a country that has just begun to discover its potential. Being the torchbearer of the country's petroleum energy resources & expansion, IndianOil as an organisation has significant responsibilities towards the country's sustainable growth and economy to enable India grow in all sectors. Let's celebrate the day with a pledge to make our country a more progressive society and re-dedicate ourselves to the progress and prosperity of our nation and towards the welfare of our people and to the unity and integrity of our country. Let's not forget to pay tribute to the brave members of our armed forces, farmers, teachers, scientists, workers and the millions of our countrymen who are toiling tirelessly for the progress and prosperity of our nation. <b>Happy Independence Day!</b>
