IiPM announces 12th six week program titled ‘THE THRESHOLD’

IiPM is pleased to announce the 12th, six week program titled “THE THRESHOLD”, scheduled to be conducted from September 20 till November 01, 2007. Officers in grades ‘E’ and ‘F’ are eligible to attend the program. The faculty for the highly sought program is being sourced from IIM-Ahmedabad led by Prof. S. K. Barua. The general management modules in the program will cover Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting, Corporate Finance, Marketing Management, Strategic Management, Financial Markets, Operations Management, etc. In addition, the participants will undergo an Outbound Experiential Learning (OEL) module in India on leadership, follower-ship, behaviours & actions of effective teamwork and also an “Overseas Learning Module” in developing economies of South East Asia. In ‘OLP’, the participants will have an opportunity to observe and interact with the best practicing managers in some of the global companies. Focus of the program will be on the following themes: <li>Development of a general management orientation and a holistic and integrated perspective through highlighting the inter-linkages across decisions in functional areas. </li> <li>Strengthening understanding of the key issues and challenges in strategy formulation and implementation that would be faced by Public Sector Units in general and IndianOil in particular.</li> <li>Enhancing the awareness about the threats, constraints and opportunities that have arisen from operating in increasingly deregulated product, services and resource markets.</li> <li>Sensitising the participants to the need to create value through appropriate corporate actions for long-term survival and growth of the organisation.</li> Nominations of Officers in Grade ‘E’ & ‘F’ from Corporation and its subsidiary companies have been sought from Divisional HR (Training & Development functions) and the last date of receiving nomination is 03rd September 2007. The nominations shall be made through the Divisional HR.
