IndianOil’s Hindi magazine ‘Abhidha’ Released

” Hindi has gained acceptance across the shores as well and the recently held World Hindi Conference, inaugurated by the UN Secretary General in New York was a case in point. Our cultural tools like films and literature have helped in this endeavour and it is the collective responsibility of IndianOil People to properly implement Hindi” said Mr. Sudhir Bhalla, ED (HR), Refineries Headquarters. He was releasing the inaugural issue of ‘Abhidha’ a dedicated magazine exclusively in Hindi at a function held on August 14, 2007. Mr. Bhalla lauded the initiative and expressed happiness that IOCians from across the divisions have contributed to the magazine. The magazine launch was followed by a Hindi Quiz program and was the part of a first in series of programs to be organised throughout the year to mark ‘Hindi Week’ celebrations. The event drew enthusiastic participation and was greatly appreciated. Mr. G Dasgupta, GM (Admn & Welfare), RHQ, also addressed the gathering and requested for enthusiastic participation by contributing more thereby strengthening the cause of Hindi. The program was conducted by Dr. Manik Mrigesh, Sr Manager (A&W), Refineries Head Quarters.
