Inauguration of first All Women Showroom at M/s Commander Gas Service, Lucknow

Mr. G. Tiwari, (GM), UPSO-I, inaugurated the first All Women 'Indane' STAR Showroom of M/s Commander Gas Service on August 16, 2007, and dedicated the same to the service of valued 'Indane' customers at Rajajipuram in Lucknow. He was highly impressed by the effort put up by Commander Gas and its Controlling Office i.e. Indane Area Office, Lucknow. On this occasion Mr. Tiwari, unveiled a plaque in the showroom of the agency in presence of a distinguished gathering including Mr. P.K.Singh (DGM), LPG, Mr. Unnikrishnan C. P.(Chief Area Manager), other Senior IOCians, Indane distributors and media personnel. M/s Commander Gas Service, owned by Ms. Taranum Anwar, and managed by her along with her sister Ms Tarana Anwar, is manned by lady showroom staff and lady mechanics, and is functioning under the guidance of, Ms. Rummana Qidwai, a lady field officer. This is an endeavour of its kind, in IndianOil, where women are managing all activities related to an 'Indane' showroom. This bold step will definitely set an example in the industry and motivate and boost the morale of more women proprietors to come forward and take similar initiatives. This 'Indane' distributorship has the privilege of being granted the status of 'STAR' distributor in 2004 and was also a member of the IOC Chairmans' Panel of Dealers and Distributors. M/s Commander Gas Service has also started e-ticketing for Indian Railways and air ticketing for major airlines, from their showroom at Rajajipuram. They are also retailing the following 'Indane' approved products like 'Suraksha' LPG hose, 'Green Label' Gas Stoves, Suraksha' Fire Retardant Aprons, 'SAFEX' and 'ZENITH' brands of Portable Fire Extinguishers and 'Kent' brand of water purifiers.
