Union Minister of Chemicals & Petrochemicals inaugurates IndianOil pavilion at K-Fair in Dusseldorf

The Union Minister for Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Mr. Ananth Kumar inaugurated the IndianOil pavilion at the ongoing K-Fair at Dusseldorf, Germany on 19th October 2016.

Going around the IndianOil pavilion, Mr. Kumar checked out the visually appealing panels communicating the brand promise and applications of PROPELpetrochemicals and had a word of praise for the IndianOil team. “IOCL - The Energy Of India. JAI HO!”,wrote the Union Minister in the visitors’ book. The Minister was accompanied with his wife, Mr. Avinash Joshi, Jt. Secretary (Petrochemicals); Mr. Ravish, Consul General of India to Germany; and a host of officials from FICCI and the trade bodies. The Ministerial contingent was warmly welcomed by the IndianOil team led by Mr. AN Jha, ED (Petrochemicals).

Donning the oculus, theHon’ble Minister and his wife also took a virtual reality tour into the world of IndianOil and PROPEL petrochemicals. They were enthused with the experience.

Also called Messe Dusseldorf, the K-Fair is the world’s largest fair for plastics and rubber. Attracting footfalls in thousands to the fairgrounds, the whole German city of Dusseldorf and its neighbourhood cities of Essen, Bochum, Duisberg, etc. are literally besieged with people of all nationalities and ethnicities. Over 3200 exhibitors from 70 countries are present here spread over exhibition space of almost 2 million sq. ft. Large players from the Indian petrochemicals market, such as Reliance, Lohias, etc. are also present here with large teams. There are two large Indian pavilions here with 112 Indian exhibitors. The focus of K-fair, this year, is 3D printing, bio-plastics, lightweight automobiles, innovative packaging materials, etc.

The aesthetically designed IndianOil pavilion in Hall 7 is attracting visitors in droves. The entire team of IOCians manning the pavilion is having a brisk time meeting and interacting with the visitors and handling their trade enquiries. A large number of enquiries are pouring in with regard to suitability of PROPEL grades to specific applications and demand for supplying IndianOil’s petrochemicals to more countries in Europe, S. America, Africa and Asia.

Built with international specifications and world-class quality, this year the IndianOil stand at K 2016 has many firsts from design perspective. The design is based on the concept of minimalistic construction, thus giving a lot of free space for visitors. For the first time a Virtual Reality show has been done at the pavilion, which presents the viewer a glimpse into the world of IndianOil in an interactive virtual tour of India. The concept and content is being widely appreciated and is the centre of attraction for visitors.A larger than life 3D cut out of TajMahal is also attracting a lot of international visitors and giving them an opportunity to take a picture in front of the one of the wonders of the world.
