The Union Petroleum Minister, Mr Murli Deora, has introduced a Bill to declare the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology as an institution of national importance and to provide for its incorporation and matters connected therewith. The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Bill, 2007.J was introduced in the Rajya Sabha. The institute is being set up at Jias, Rai Bareli District, and Uttar Pradesh.
