The movie Chak de India might be themed on women's hockey but it seems to have an overwhelming effect on the men's hockey also when recently at the Mayor Radhakrishnan stadium in Chennai, the Indian hockey team won a major multinational tournament when they defeated Korea 7-2 in the finals of the men's Asia Cup. This victory, heralds a new beginning for team India. India's tally of 57 goals in the event is the highest for any team. India, who went into the title clash with an unbeaten record, began in great style snatching an early 1-0 lead through Shivendra Singh from IndianOil, who deflected in a shot by Prabhjot Singh from IndianOil in a left flank move. But changing ends, India scored their fourth goal in the 42nd minute through Rajpal Singh again from IndianOil, who darted into the D off a lose ball and defence. Both Shivendra Singh and Prabhjot's brilliance proved once again that belonging to IndianOil means a lot to them as it projects the corporation's impressive image in facilitating and motivating promising players to excel both as employees and as a player of a national team. There were in nine players from IndianOil, in the Indian squad who made both IndianOil and India proud by displaying exemplary athletic prowess.
