AP's application on gas pipeline with regulator
New Delhi   28-Sep-2007
Andhra Pradesh wants to emulate Gujarat in setting up a Rs 4,900 crore gas pipeline network across the state, but is facing delays in getting approval from the Center, which, after nine months, has transferred the case to the newly set up oil regulator. AP chief minister Y5.R, Reddy on Wednesday met petroleum minister Murli Deora to expedite a decision on his state's application to set up a 2,054km gas transmission pipeline network linking 23 towns. After the meeting, Deora said: "the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board will look into all such applications. We are also transferring Andhra Pradesh's case to the board."
