States for petrol with ethanol mix

Various Slate governments on Wednesday asked the Centre in come out with legislation for making the mixing of ethanol with petrol mandatory by the petroleum companies it? the country.The Centre on its part Called for including ethanol in the 'Special Goods list by the Slates so that there will be uniform taxation of four per cent CST by all State governments. Ministers and officials from major sugar producing States attended a meeting convened by Union agriculture, food and consumer affairs minister Sharad Pawar on the issue of overcoming the crisis of glut in sugar production this year.
