IndianOil to title Sponsor the India-Pakistan ODI Series

The high octane India Pakistan ODI series will be title sponsored by India’s largest energy major, IndianOil. The India-Pakistan series starts in Guwahati on 5th November followed by matches at Mohali(8th), Kanpur(11th), Gwalior(15th) and Jaipur(18th). Both India and Pakistan cricket stars will battle to annex the IndianOil Cup, which has been designed by well-known Trophy designer Mr. Amit Pabuwal, who also designed the Twenty20 World Cup, that concluded in the South Africa recently. Commenting on IndianOil’s sponsorship, Mr. G.C.Daga, IndianOil’s Director(Marketing) said, “Our title sponsoring the high profile India-Pakistan ODI series is reiteration of our close association with cricket for our front line brands. For us, cricket is a means to connect to over a billion Indians who have repeatedly voted with their hearts to make IndianOil the ‘Most Trusted Brand’ in the country, by experiencing our brands in one form or the other.” Mr. Daga added. This is the third major cricket title sponsorship pursued by IndianOil. The earlier ones being the IndianOil Asia Cup in 2004 and the IndianOil Cup for the Tri Nation Series in 2005, both in Sri Lanka. IndianOil was also the official sponsor(world wide) of the ICC events including the ICC Champions Trophy held in India in 2006 and ICC World Cup held in West Indies in 2007. To coincide with the ongoing festive season and the title sponsorship of the India-Pakistan ODI series, IndianOil is also running a major promotion campaign covering more than 7500 retail stations across the country called “Car in a Tank” offer, wherein customers fuelling XTRAPREMIUM branded petrol and XTRAMILE branded diesel worth Rs 500, will qualify to win prizes worth about Rs One crore, ranging from Maruti cars to mobile phones and even free tickets to the India-Pakistan ODI matches.
