IndianOil Cup - India Pakistan Test Series 2007

Indian Oil Corporation Limited is the title sponsor of the IndianOil Cup – India-Pakistan Test series starting in New Delhi on 22nd November 2007. This is the fifth major cricket tournament that IndianOil has bagged for a title sponsorship after the IndianOil Asia Cup in 2004, IndianOil Cup Tri Nation Series in 2005, the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy in 2007 and the India-Pakistan ODI Series 2007, held recently. Mr. G.C.Daga, Director (Marketing), IndianOil speaking on the occasion said, “The IndianOil Cup India Pakistan Test Series 2007 promises to be an action packed cricket series. Played between two-world class teams known for giving their very best when playing each other – India and Pakistan, the series is one more chapter in the saga of India’s leading energy brand - IndianOil. For us, cricket is a platform that celebrates performance. An ideal that we not only believe in, but also pursue in our business life to emerge as India’s leading energy company with transnational aspirations” he said. “However, our pursuit for excellence also extends to other sports too. The first Test will be played at Delhi from 22nd November and the schedule for the other matches are Kolkata (30th November to 4th December 2007) and Bengaluru (8th December to 12th December 2007). IndianOil is also running a promotion - ‘Car in a Tank’ contest, where customers fuelling up at IndianOil petrol stations can win prizes worth over Rupees one crore, ranging from Maruti cars, mobile phones and free tickets to witness the cricketing action.
