India plans to auction of 80 oil blocks

India plans to offer 80 oil and gas blocks in August in the seventh round of auctions under the New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP), the upstream oil regulator said on Wednesday. "We are still finalizing the number of on-land and offshore blocks. Most likely, it is going to be 50:50," head of directorate general of hydrocarbon, V.K. Sibal, said.
